In Cyprus and Turkey, cyclists celebrated the start of MOVE Week with an evening ride.

The Cyprus Cycling Federation is hosting evening bike rides all week and Cypriots will be on the move by bicycle. 360 safety vests were delivered to the participants of the Cyprus Cycling Federation’s MOVE Week event yesterday, and both experienced and beginners will ride together on the warm late spring evenings.

The Cycling Federation’s Secretary General Stavros Georgiou said that this year’s aim is to educate cyclists on road security.

In Turkey, the first MOVE Week events took place in Muğla University where local students were given bicycles to support healthy and active lifestyle.

Turkish National Coordinator Feridun Ekmekci met earlier with the local Muğla Metropolitan Municipality. As a result, his MOVE Week activities are being supported by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and the Sport Faculty of Mugla SK University.
