LIFELONG SWIMMING

LIFLONG SWIMMING is an ERASMUS PLUS SPORT Project with the objective of spreading awareness of the importance of health enhancing physical activities and increase the participation of senior citizens in swimming and aquatic sports. Swimming is an aerobic activity which can be safely enjoyed by people of all ages and one of the best exercises for seniors as it a weightless workout. In occasion of the EUROPEAN WEEK OF SPORT, FIN Federal Swimming Centre Trieste will organise a LIFELONG SWIMMING H2OpenDay in which the swimming pool will be open free to the public - in particular to the senior community - to spread awareness of the benefits of swimming. During the Lifelong Swimming Open Day, trial swimming sessions will be organised under the supervision of FIN instructors. Participants will have the opportunity to try their swimming skills in the four styles or simply enjoy the wellness of movement in water and taste the pleasant benefits of swimming. The Bruno Bianchi swimming pool facility has three swimming pools: an indoor – an outdoor 50ms long swimming pool and an indoor diving swimming pool. On Sunday 13th the outdoor swimming pool will be open to the public. Participants will register at the Reception desk for Insurance cover.
